We’re offering readers the chance to win a luxury break for a family of four at the Magic Natura resort just 4km outside of Benidorm.

If you want a break from the wave machines, head to the water park’s aquarium where you can see sharks and rays, and spot Nemo among the colourful shoals of fish. You’ll also learn about caring for our marine friends and can watch sea lion demonstrations.

Back on dry land, take a night-time safari through the famous Terra Natura zoo, home to 1,500 animals and 200 species – 50 of which are on the endangered list. The animal park has been designed to closely recreate the habitats of these animals and it runs environmental workshops to teach children important lessons about conservation.

As well as elephants, rhinos, deer and big cats, family-friendly Terra Natura has a petting zoo where little ones can get up close to creatures their own size. Both the water park and Terra Natura belong to the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria and are committed to animal-welfare best practice.

At the hotel, which hosts guests in spacious bungalows set in a Polynesian-style landscape, you can swim in one of three pools, eat at one of several restaurants (providing all-inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner) and party away the night at the poolside bars. The children can enrol in family-friendly activities by day, too and the bungalows come with TV, Wi-Fi, minibar
and wood-decked terrace.

Terms and Conditions

  1.  One winner will receive a wildlife-friendly luxury stay in Benidorm, Spain.  The prize package is as follows:
    • Seven nights’ all inclusive accommodation at the four-star Magic Natura Resort, Benidorm for two adults and two children  sharing a bungalow. Stay must be on seven consecutive nights, subject to availability of allocated rooms.
    • Return flights from UK airports to Benidorm Airport,as well as transfers from Benidorm Airport, are included.
    • Includes free entrance to Terra Natura for the duration of your stay and night-time safari.
    • Includes free entrance to the neighbouring Aqua Natura water park with sea lion demonstrations for stays between May and October only.
    • The prize must be taken before the end of 2017 and is subject to availability. It cannot be taken over bank holidays, Easter, July, August or during any UK school holidays. The prize is non-returnable and non-transferable.
  1. Closing date is 23:59 hrs on the 28th  February 2017. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
  2. Open to all UK (excluding Northern Ireland) residents except employees and families of the Promoter and the Prize Provider, any third parties or anyone professionally associated with the promotion.
  3. Entrants must be aged 18 or over unless otherwise stated.
  4. Prize excludes transfers to and from UK departure point, gratuities, personal expenses, car hire and any other associated extras. The winner and family members will be responsible for arranging their own travel and medical insurance.
  5. Winner and guests must comply with all relevant customs, security and immigration requirements including appropriate passport and visa requirements. Promoter and Prize Provider will not be responsible for any passenger's failure to comply with these requirements.

  7. Only one entry per person. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.
  8. No cash or prize alternative(s) unless stated otherwise. Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. All elements of prize(s) are subject to availability. Promoter reserves the right to offer an equivalent prize or prize of a higher value.
  9. Winner will be picked at random from all valid entries after the closing date. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. Entrants’ details will not be passed to third parties and only used to administrate the giveaway unless entrants opt-in for additional marketing emails from the Promoter and/or the Prize Provider. The Promoter will treat all entrants’ personal details as private and confidential and will comply with the Data Protection Act and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
  11. Winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted within 60 days of the closing date, an alternative winner may be drawn.
  12. The name of the winner will be published online at http://bbcearth.river-cloud.co.uk and/or in BBC Earth magazine. By entering, entrants agree to have their name and location published online and/or in BBC Earth magazine.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  14. The Promoter excludes liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to an entrant arising from his or her entry into the competition or occurring to the winner and/or guest(s) arising from his or her acceptance of the prize.
